iconiqueIlya Kuvshinov Solo exhibition "iconique" in Art Fair Tokyo 2024
We will hold a solo exhibition of new artwork by Ilya Kuvshinov, an internationally popular illustrator at ART FAIR TOKYO 2024.
In addition to 4 types of canvas prints and 4 types of paper prints, we will exhibit and sell 2 types of prints on special materials, which he created as a new challenge.
The title of the exhibition is "iconique".
You can see which includes a newly drawn artwork "Lit2,” and there will be which as the title suggests, depicts woman figures that symbolize the artist's world view.
The canvas prints are mostly brightly colored with POP and depict fragile yet dignified women. The paper prints are filled with a sense of dynamism.
The prints on special materials are made with black glossy Japanese lacquer, that is a traditional Japanese craft, and aluminum, an inorganic material that creates a sense of gravity when used in combination with the artwork.
Both works utilize the texture of the materials to create a clearer reflection of these characters.
The artwork presented in this exhibition were created with great care, starting from the selection of the paper and canvas for the support, and after repeated meetings with the studio, the artist spent an unthinkable amount of time on the production of the works.
We are looking forword to seeing you at Ilya Kuvshinov's solo exhibition.
