We will again this year hold a solo exhibition of new artworks by Ilya Kuvshinov, an internationally popular illustrator at ART FAIR TOKYO 2025.
The title of the exhibition is "iridescent."
"iridescent" means "shimmering with rainbow colors."
Through the artist's distinctive use of color and striking depiction of light, the characters display a rich variety of expressions. Their emotions seem to shimmer from within, evoking a dazzling, heart-racing brilliance.
The title perfectly captures that radiant moment—like the feeling of seeing a rainbow stretching across a clear sky after a long period of rain, filling the heart with warmth and wonder.
The exhibition features works such as "paralyzed," created on a special aluminum substrate, and "waves," a groundbreaking paper piece incorporating visual effects for the first time.
Like a rainbow that shifts its appearance depending on the viewing angle, each artwork carries a unique emotion and story. These pieces allow viewers to experience the fleeting beauty of each moment in a truly immersive way.
The works presented in this exhibition have been carefully crafted, with meticulous attention given to selecting materials such as paper and canvas. Through numerous discussions with the printmaking studio, each piece has been created with patience and precision, ensuring the highest level of detail and quality.

Ilya Kuvshinov
Ilya Kuvshinov is an illustrator born in 1990 in Russia and living in Japan. In 2020, he designed all the characters for the anime "Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045," which was released simultaneously worldwide on Netflix (Netflix) and is still being distributed by popular demand. With over 2.5 million followers worldwide, he is loved by people of all ages and genders.
